Day 01: Hanoi Arrival (D)

Throughout thousands of years of its eventful history or war. Hanoi today still preserves many ancient architectural works including French colonial buildings, the Old Quarter and old pagodas and temples. Besides, Hanoi is a modern city, a great combination.
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, meet your tour guide and take you to your hotel. Check in and relax for awhile before strolling around the Old Quarter yourself and then have dinner at a nice local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 02: Hanoi sightseeing tour – night train to Sapa (B)

Morning: Welcome to Hanoi- the 1000 year old capital- one of cultural centers of Vietnam. You could start find out the daily life in Hanoi by tasting coffee on the street or the café shop while observing the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. It is the great choice to explore local culture.

Your first stop is the biggest lake Hanoi - West Lake and Tran Quoc pagoda – the oldest one in Hanoi and then take a view of Ho Chi Minh mausoleum from outside. You will then visit the Temple of Literature, first to honor Confucius and Vietnam’s finest scholars, doctorates.

Noon: Lunch will be served by Hanoi specialties then continue to The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, one of the most interesting museums in Hanoi with an outdoor and indoor display of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. Discover Hanoi Old Quarter by Xich Lo (a local transport which is like Tuk Tuk). This fascinating quarter is comprised of narrow alleys and shop houses, which is also referred to as “36 ancient streets”.  Afterwards you will enjoy a Water puppet show – the unique Traditional Art in the North of Vietnam.

Evening: Transfered to the train Station to board the night train to Sapa.

Day 03: Trek along rice fields to remote Nam Cang Riverside Lodge (B, L, D)

Morning: Arrive early in the morning in Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa. You will enjoy breakfast at a nice local restaurant. Ready for lots of things to do this day?

On our way, We get the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien mountain range and don’t forget to capture this scenery and locals at minority villages such as Tay ethnic group living on house stilts. During our trek, we pass paddling rice terraces and enjoy the stunning views of mountains or the deep valley view.

Then we have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting Black Hmong villages. Where visitors know about their special skills in making local instruments, jewelry, agricultural tools or indigo dying.

Finally, we reach the most remote area of Nam Cang - Red Dao minority village where we will stay overnight at the Lodge built and owned by Red Dao families. Your accommodation is next to the river, you can swim or take a walk around the village to witness the daily life of locals

Approx: Moderate / 6 hour hiking

Day 04: Trekking along rivers and remote hillsides (B, L)

Wake up and have breakfast with coffee or tea before continuing another visit to Red Dao village of Nam Ngan. You can catch daily life and the living conditions of the ethnic minorities and served a cup of tea or an optional rice wine as hospitality.

The next visit is the Xa Pho minority in My Son village

After lunch, we finish our hike near the Muong Bo River and wait for the transport to get back Sapa and catch the overnight train to Hanoi.

Afternoon: Take private car from Sapa to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 05: Hanoi – Mai Chau Green Valley (B)

Have breakfast to put a lot of energy for this trip today! Leave the bustling of a city behind and head for Hoa Binh province and then to Mai Chau valley (4-hour drive). On the way, we observe how Vietnamese countryside looks as local farmers work in rice or corn fields. Upon arrival in Mai Chau valley, take a biking tour and cycle through many villages, lush rice paddies and into the countryside to get to know how locals live or their cultures are.
In evening, we taste specialties of the local region for dinner meanwhile watching the troupe performance by Muong and Thai ethnic minorities. This show features flowers, landscape and daily agricultural cultivating activities. Today we surely dive into the ethnic communities

Day 06: Mai Chau Biking – Hanoi (B)

Wake up in the early morning, open the door and…you will be completely surprised when watching the most beautiful views of the paddy fields and mountains. Cycling around nearby Thai villages including Na Thia - Na Tang - Cha Long - PomCoong - Na Phon – Nhot. Visiting a local house, meeting family members, and get to know their culture and daily life activities. Afterwards you can stroll around the hamlets, before returning back to the Ecolodge. After lunch, you will get back to Hanoi by private car in the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 07: Hanoi – Halong Bay (Magnificent Bay) (B, L, D)

Today we head out on a 3.5hour scenic drive to Halong Bay means “where the dragon descends into the sea” which was designated a World Heritage Site and listed the New Wonder in the world. Undoubtedly, Halong Bay is not only a national but also a world nature. Here, you will see thousands of islands rising from emerald water and magnificent limestone caves.

On arrival, complimentary coffee before boarding an overnight cruise. As soon as start your cruise,  A great seafood lunch is served. In the meantime, enjoy the truly breathtaking scenery, the boat passes the famous islands such as Cock Fighting islands, Sail Islands. After lunch, take cave visits such as

After lunch, take cave visits such as Amazing cave, Heaven Cave. Kayaking is available before sunset. And then have dinner on board. A cooking class is an option. After sunset, enjoy an unforgettable night on boat in your luxury private cabin. Afterward, you can watch a classic Vietnamese film or just lie on a sundeck.

Day 08: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Luang Prabang (B, L)

Wake up early morning to catch a sunrise and the spectacular landscape with limestone islets rising from the crystal-clear waters of the Bay and enjoy coffee, tea and fresh fruits at the sundeck.
Then you can swim or kayak on your own ways around Halong Bay. Dive into the emerald green waters and splash around in the calm stillness of the morning. Take this chance to captain your own vessel and take to a kayak- glide through the waters at your own pace. If you don’t feel like swimming or kayaking, feel free to sleep in or enjoy the bay from the sundeck. After lunch and check out you'll be transferred back to Hanoi by car for your flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel downtown. Spend your night in Luang Prabang.

Day 09: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave – Nong Khaiw (B, L)

Wake up early morning and get a chance to take part in the morning Buddhist rituals and give sticky rice of alms to saffron-clad monks.

Then have breakfast and ready for a scenic drive to reach Pak Ou caves located in the location where two rivers meet. On the way, we go past the lush green forests and the rural riverside. On arrival, we take a boat to get into the cave and Inside limestone cliffs, there are thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues
We will be able to stop off at a few villages and admire the breathtaking limestone scenery. Stay overnight in a boutique bungalow with Laos traditional style. We hope to provide you with a good nights quality sleep as close to nature as possible.

Day 10: Nong Khiaw – Muang Ngoi - Trekking (B, L, D)

After breakfast at your hotel in Nong Khiaw, we leave for Muang Ngoi by boat. You will be offered some great sightseeing, trekking to the village of Ban Kioukhan. Along the trek, we stop at the historical cave which was used as a bomb shelter during the second Indochina war and get lunch at noon.

Day 11: Ban Kioukhan – Muang Ngoi – Luang Prabang (B, L)

Breakfast and then continue our expedition, take a half day walk until we arrive at Ban Hadsaphaei village which is situated by the Nam Ou River. And then we get on a boat to Muang Ngoi, on the way, we have a great chance to enjoy the landscape of limestone mountain

Lunch at the local restaurant in Muang Ngoi. We depart Muang Ngoi and Nong Khiaw to drive back to Luang Prabang. Arrive and check back into the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 12: Luang Prabang – Chiang Mai – Traditional Khantoke Dinner (B, D)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for boarding flight to Chiang Mai. On arrival at Chiang Mai Airport, meet you guide then transfer to hotel for check in. In the evening enjoy the famous dinner "Khantoke Dinner" known as the northern welcome dinner including hill tribe dancing. Spend your night at eco-hut with Thai-style rooms with unique views of the river and elephant path just a stone’s throw away.

Day 13: Full day Elephant Safari (B, L)

After breakfast, start the full day trip with interesting activities as below

  • Visit MaeTaman Elephant Camp, on the way we see the gorgeous countryside with the lush green another side and a small river running parallel. Finally, we pull into the Maetaman Elephant Camp located on the river, all elephants here are owned by their mahouts and you can see them bathing in the river, working in the jungle or You can buy paintings made by elephants on the dung paper
  • Experience a one- hour special adventure with Elephant Ride as a guide teaches you how to pronounce the elephant commands through the stunning mountain scenery and over hilly trails.
  • The next stop at the Lisu Hill Tribe Village located in the mountains of North Thailand. Here you get warm hospitality and special experience to see the culture with their customs and traditions
  • Next, ride by Ox-cart to experience the traditional form of transport in Thailand for centuries, to get insight into the rural villages and then return back to the elephant camp. 
  • Lunch provided at the restaurant in the camp before a 45-minute bamboo raft on the rural Mae Taeng River. Cruise on a leisurely pace through the farm houses and stunning scenery. 
  • Finally, visit the stunning Orchid farm to watch beautiful thousands of wild orchids before returning back to the eco-lodge

Day 14: Chiang Mai Departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure flight.
