Itinerary

Day 1

Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Known for its centuries old architecture and delectable cuisine, Hanoi is not only rich in history and culture, but also a buzzing city and a connecting hub to other parts of the country and region. Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport (Noi Bai), you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the day at your leisure, followed by a welcome dinner with breathtaking views over Hoan Kiem Lake. After the dinner, you will then spend the first night in Hanoi.

Day 2

Hanoi City Tour – Night Train to Sapa

After breakfast in the hotel, a tour of the city is on. Starting with a visit to the President Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and the next door Ho Chi Minh Palace where lies the modest stilt house of the Vietnam's first president. Next stop is the one thousand year old One Pillar Pagoda, one of the most iconic temples in Vietnam, known for its unique lotus blossom shape sitting on top of a wooden pillar erected from a lotus pond. Then you will explore the Temple of Literature - the first university in Vietnam. Continue to the Ethnological Museum. In the afternoon, enjoy the unique water puppet theatre near the West Lakes. In the evening you will be driven to the train station to take the overnight train to Sapa. Spend your night swayed to sleep by the train and get rested for the next destination.

Day 3

Sapa Hiking - Nam Cang Village

Your train ride arrives at Lao Cai train station in early morning, from where you will be transferred to Sapa. Upon your Sapa arrival, you will enjoy a nice breakfast in a local restaurant before enjoying a full day in Hoang Lien National Park exploring its rich and diverse flora and fauna. During your walk through the national park, you will also meet local ethnic villagers as well as animals such as water buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before making your way to Nam Cang Riverside Lodge, where you will be staying overnight.

Day 4

Hike along rivers and slopes

Today you will make a hike up to the mountains. Take in the breathtaking view at the top and continue the hike to a small village where you will be served a traditional and local lunch. After the hike, return to Sapa in a private car. In the evening, you will transfer from Sapa to Lao Cai by car and take the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 5

Hanoi – Ha Long Bay

You arrive in Hanoi early in the morning. After breakfast in Hanoi, you will head to Ha Long Bay for a two-day cruise trip. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch, visit limestone caves, explore the bay by kayak, relax on the deck, sip a cocktail at the bar, and last but not least, dine on board while watching the sun go down on the bay - a sight not to be missed. Spend the night on board of the cruise.

Day 6

Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An

Start your day early with a Tai Chi session in the fresh air and watch the sun rise over the karst cliffs. Then you have time to sunbathe on the deck and relax. In the meantime, a breakfast buffet will be set up for you. After the meal, you will soon be back in the harbor, from where you will be brought to Hanoi Airport to fly to Danang. Your local driver will meet you at Danang Airport and take you to the Old Quarter of Hoi An. You will spend the night in Hoi An.

Day 7

Bike Tour through the City of Hoi An

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our guide and taken to the Bach Dang boat station. From there, take the boat to Kim Bong Carpentry village, from where you start your bike tour. You will visit some local families and learn about the production of rice wine, sleeping mats, rice noodles and rice papers. Then continue on to the fishing village of Tra Nhieu, where you can row a traditional bamboo boat and do fishing. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch on the river. The boat will take you back to Hoi An in about 40 minutes. Once there, the rest of the day is at your leisure. You will spend the night in Hoi An.

Day 8

Cooking class in Hoi An

Your tour today starts in a café, from which you can go straight to the central market in Hoi An. Here you will learn a lot about the spices and ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine. From there, take a boat ride to the cooking school. You will make some fabulous Vietnamese dishes under the guidance of a chef and enjoy the food together afterwards. With a happy tummy and a few more cooking tricks up your sleeve, return back to town and enjoy a relaxing herbal foot massage. Then spend the rest of the day at your leisure. You will spend the night in Hoi An.

Day 9

Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City

Say goodbye to Hoi An, today you will fly from Danang Airport to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). After a nice lunch upon your Saigon arrival, you will start a tour to learn about the history of this Vietnam's biggest metropolis. First stop is a visit to the former Palace of the President and the War Remnants Museum. Continue to the grand Notre Dame Cathedral and the French-style Central Post Office. Next you will go to Chinatown where you will visit the massive Binh Tay Wholesale Market and the beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda. In the evening, enjoy your dinner during a boat trip on the Saigon river before returning to the hotel for overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta

After breakfast, take a drive to the Mekong Delta where you will board a motorboat to get to the floating market. Transferred to row boat to cruise through the small canals until you arrive at a large orchard with many exotic tropical fruits of Vietnam for you to taste. You will also get to sample coconut sweets, crispy rice cakes and see the local pottery products. Afterwards you can bike through a rural village or, alternatively, relax in a traditional hammock. Back to Ho Chi Minh City to stay overnight.

Day 11

Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc Island

You're leaving Ho Chi Minh City today and flying to the island of Phu Quoc. Enjoy the day at your beach resort and relax. Stay overnight on Phu Quoc.

Day 12

Phu Quoc Island

Enjoy another full day of relaxation in Phu Quoc. The tropical island with its beautiful beaches invites you to relax all day long. Various water activities, such as snorkeling, are also available. You will spend the night on Phu Quoc.

Day 13

Phu Quoc Island

Treat yourself to a break in the spa or explore the area by bike. Visit the local markets with wonderful food and explore the local villages. You will spend the night on Phu Quoc.

Day 14

Phu Quoc Island

Spend the whole day at your leisure. You can still enjoy the beach and the water or go on a nature discovery tour. Phu Quoc has a beautiful national park with lots to be discovered with your children. You will spend the night in your beach resort on Phu Quoc.

Day 15

Phu Quoc Island

Today is your last full day on the paradise island. Enjoy another sunset on the beach. We can arrange a beach BBQ dinner for you before you spend your last night on Phu Quoc.

Day 16

Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap

Enjoy your last morning on the beach before you fly from Phu Quoc via Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap. Once there, our driver will take you to your hotel and enjoy your dinner with an Apsara dance show. You will spend the night in Siem Reap.

Day 17

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

After breakfast today, you will explore the famous Angkor Archaeological Park. You start by visiting the picturesque Ta Prohm, which has almost disappeared and overgrown by the jungle. The magnificent tree roots crawling over and swallowing the huge stone blocks of the temple will surely a sight to be remembered. But be prepared for even more mesmerizing sights at your next stop - Angkor Wat - the majestic world's largest religion monument and the jewel of all Angkor temples. Afterwards, continue on to explore the ancient royal capital city of Angkor Thom. Visit the Bayon temple with its hundreds of giant smiling stone faces peering at you, the Baphuon temple with its intricate carvings all around and the best view of Angkor Thom from the top. You will also stop by the Elephant Terraces , the Leper King's Terraces, and of course the Royal Palace. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 18

Siem Reap - Artisans D ’Angkor - Tonle Sap Lake

Today you will visit the Chom Temple in the heart of Siem Reap. Then a visit to Artisans d’Angkor, a company that helps young people in rural areas to find work in their own village. Here you will get a deep insight into the traditional handicraft of Cambodia. In the afternoon, head out to Tonle Sap Lake to see its floating villages. You will see floating schools, floating markets and floating police stations and learn more about life on the lake. Back to Siem Reap to spend the night.

Siem Reap Departure

Enjoy your free time today in Siem Reap before we take you to the airport for your flight home.
