Itinerary

Day 1

Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Known for its centuries old architecture and delectable cuisine, Hanoi is not only rich in history and culture, but also a buzzing city and a connecting hub to other parts of the country and region. Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport (Noi Bai), you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, a traditional cyclo tour is arranged for you to explore the Old Quarter of Hanoi, where you will be amazed by the sights. The tour ends with a live performance at the unique Water Puppet Theatre. Spend the night in Hanoi.

Day 2

Hanoi: Stand Up Paddling and Street Food Tour

After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel and headed to the West Lake - the city's largest lake -  for 3 hours of stand-up paddling. By lunch time, you are on for a half-day street food tour which guarantees a happy tummy. During this tour, you will taste, among other food, Hanoi's specialties such as Bach Cuon (rice steam rolls with wood ear mushrooms) and Bun Cha (rice vermicelli noodles with charcoal grilled pork). Don't forget to save room for some delightful drinks and desserts. You will visit a hidden cafe with breathtaking views, taste fresh fruits and enjoy a fresh beer on Ta Hien Street at the end of the day. Spend the night in Hanoi.

Day 3

Hanoi - Pu Luong - Trekking in Pu Luong Nature Reserve

After breakfast today, we take you to the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and then have time to explore the reserve on your own. In the afternoon, we will go on a hike, during which you will walk across the Cham River along rice fields and see some very interesting traditional bamboo waterwheels. Afterwards, you will visit the Chieng Lau village before returning to Pu Luong. Spend the night in Pu Luong.

Day 4

Pu Luong: Hike through the Valley

Have a good breakfast today as you are going on a 12 mile (19 km) hike. During today hike, you will discover many unique landscapes with farmland, fields, villages, ponds, rivers and mountains. At lunchtime, you will have a picnic lunch in the nature setting. Then you will have time to rest and enjoy the river. In the early evening, we go back to Pu Luong and spend the night there.

Day 5

Pu Luong Mountain Village Life - Back to Hanoi

Today, you will get to know Pu Luong's surrounding villages and their inhabitants better. Have lunch at the lodge before returning to Hanoi and spend the night there.

Day 6

Hanoi - Ha Long Bay Cruise

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi and headed to Ha Long Bay for an overnight cruise trip. After boarding the cruise, lunch will be served, followed by a visit to an island and an opportunity to go swimming or kayaking. Later you will come back on board to watch the sunset and have a cocktail at the bar. After dinner, experience night squid fishing if you like. Then spend the night on board.

Day 7

Ha Long Bay - Hanoi

If you are an early riser, join us for a Tai Chi session during sunrise. After a hearty breakfast, go on a cave excursion before returning on board for a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. While you are having lunch, the cruise steers back to the harbor, from where you will be transferred back to your hotel in Hanoi to stay the night.

Day 8

Ha Noi - Buon Ma Thuot

After having breakfast today, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Buon Ma Thuot. Upon your arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and take you to Lak Lake where you will check in to LAK Camp for your stay. The rest of the day is free. Spend the night in the camp.

Day 9

Buon Ma Thuot: Trekking to the Waterfall

Wake up early today and enjoy the view of beautiful sunrise over the lake. After breakfast, hike to the Bim Bip waterfall where you will have a picnic lunch by the waterfall with some local traditional food. Afterwards, hike back to the camp and spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. In the evening, dinner will be served by the campfire.

Day 10

Buon Ma Thuot Local Culture - Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, explore the culture of the residents of Yang Tao Ethnic Village today. Here you will discover the landscape with its rice fields and buffalo herds, coffee and cocoa plantations. Yang Tao is also the only village in the Central Highland where traditional handmade pottery is still being made. You will visit one of a few families who is trying to keep this multi-generation traditional craft alive and see their handmade pottery products. After this visit, come back to the camp for lunch before checking out heading to Buon Ma Thuot airport to fly back to Ho Chi Minh City. Spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 11

Ho Chi Minh City: Vespa Tour

Today you are going on a very special tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Your local guide will pick you up with a vintage Vespa scooter and take you to explore the city on this cool two-wheel. First stop is a local coffee shop where you can try Vietnamese coffee and watch Saigon daily life passing by. Getting back on the Vespa, you will cruise through the busy streets and small alleys to see the main attractions of Ho Chi Minh City. You will make stops at the best food vendors in town to taste some Southern Vietnamese specialties such as Banh Xeo (crispy savory pancakes). Finally, you will visit a hidden café with live music and let the evening fade away. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12

Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta

Today you take a trip to the Mekong Delta. Once there, board a motorboat to get to a floating market. Then you will transfer to a rowboat to cruise through the small channels until you arrive at a large orchard, where you can sample various Vietnamese tropical fruits. During this trip, you will also get to taste special local treats such as coconut sweets and rice crispy and visit a local brick and ceramic making village. You then can choose to explore another village by bike or, alternatively, relax in a traditional hammock. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Can Tho to stay overnight.

Day 13

Mekong Delta Floating Market - Ho Chi Minh City

After an early breakfast, you are off to see Mekong Delta's largest floating market today. Get on a boat and ride right to the middle of the market, have a up close view of the various boat vendors, buy fresh local fruits and other food directly from them and eat it right on the boat. Afterwards, you will have an interesting stop at a small rice noodle and rice paper workshop to see how it's traditionally made and try to make some yourself. Back in Can Tho to have lunch before returning to Ho Chi Minh City to spend the night.

Day 14

Ho Chi Minh City - Nam Cat Tien National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up and headed to Nam Cat Tien National Park. On the way, stop to visit a former volcano crater and then do rafting on the La Nga River. Continue on to Nam Cat Tien National Park where you will explore its rainforest by motorboat before spending the night in Nam Cat Tien.

Day 15

Nam Cat Tien - Ho Chi Minh City

Early in the morning, enjoy your quiet breakfast with only the sounds of bird singing and leaves rustling. After breakfast, you will go on a 10 km Jeep ride followed by 5 km walking through the forest to get to the crocodile swamp. This area has a beautiful lake surrounded by the jungle and home to many crocodiles. Enjoy the untouched nature before returning to the park center and go back to Ho Chi Minh City to spend the night.

Ho Chi Minh City Departure

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and ready to go to the airport for your flight home.
