Itinerary

Day 1

Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Known for its centuries old architecture and delectable cuisine, Hanoi is not only rich in history and culture, but also a buzzing city and a connecting hub to other parts of the country and region. Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport (Noi Bai), you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the day at your leisure, followed by a welcome dinner in a local restaurant near the iconic Hoan Kiem lake. Spend the first night in Hanoi.

Day 2

Hanoi City Tour

After breakfast with some strong Vietnamese coffee, you are ready for a tour of Hanoi. The first stop is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, which is known for honoring the national hero, President Ho Chi Minh. Next stop is the one thousand year old One Pillar Pagoda, one of the most iconic temples in Vietnam, known for its unique lotus blossom shape sitting on top of a wooden pillar erected from a lotus pond. Continue to the largest lake in Hanoi, West Lake, for some stunning sceneries before heading to the Temple of Literature, the oldest university in Vietnam. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnology and return to the Old District of Hanoi to explore some more before watching a live water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3

Hanoi - Mai Chau Ecolodge

Today you will travel from Hanoi via Hoa Binh Province to Mai Chau Valley. Once arrive in the valley, you will go on a leisurely bike ride through many villages and lush paddy fields. During this ride, you will get to know the locals and their diverse culture. For dinner, enjoy local specialties while watching a live performance of the ethnic Muong and Thai locals. Spend the night in a Mai Chau ecolodge.

Day 4

May Chau Leisure - Back to Hanoi

Early in the morning, you can marvel at the magnificent surrounding scenery while enjoying your breakfast. You are free this morning to walk across the fields, discover the Pom Coong village, or just relax and take in the fresh air and beautiful view all around. You will return to Hanoi in the afternoon and spend the night there.

Day 5

Hanoi - Ha Long Bay Cruise

After breakfast in Hanoi, depart for Ha Long Bay to embark on a two-day cruise. Fresh seafood lunch awaits you upon boarding. After lunch, you can do cave excursion, splash into the emerald water, go kayaking, or join a cooking class on board. Later, have dinner while watching the incredible sunset. Spend the night on board.

Day 6

Ha Long Bay - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An

Start your day with a Tai Chi session while filling your lung with the morning fresh air and soaking in the glow of sunrise. After breakfast, you can jump into the emerald green water for swim, go kayaking, or just relax on the sundeck. After lunch, you check out of your cabin and are brought back to Hanoi to catch a flight to Danang. Once you arrive at Danang, our driver will take you to your hotel in Hoi An to spend the night.

Day 7

Bike Tour through Hoi An

Today you will be picked up after breakfast and taken to Bach Dang Boat Station. From there, take a boat to Kim Bong Carpentry Village. Then take bike ride through the small village streets. You will learn how to make rice wine, colorful sleeping mats, rice noodles, and rice paper. Afterwards, we continue to the fishing village of Tra Nhieu where you can test your skills as a fisherman while rowing a traditional bamboo boat. Lunch will be served on the river. The boat then goes back to Hoi An. The rest of the day is free time. Spend the night in Hoi An.

Day 8

Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Danang airport for a shortly flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Check in to your hotel in Saigon upon arrival. In the afternoon, you go on a sightseeing tour. First stop is to visit the former Palace of the President and the War Remnants Museum. Continue to the imposing Notre Dame Cathedral and the French-style Central Post Office. Next stop is Chinatown where you will visit the huge Binh Tay Wholesale Market and the beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9

Day Trip to the Mekong Delta

Today you take a trip to the Mekong Delta. Once there, board a motorboat to go see the floating market. On this tour, you will  see ceramics and taste coconut sweets and crispy rice cakes. After lunch, you will transfer to a small rowboat and cruise through the narrow canals and visit a large orchards where you will get to taste many exotic tropical fruit of Vietnam. Afterwards, you can choose to take a bike ride through a rural village or just relax in a traditional hammock. After the tour, head back to Ho Chi Minh to rest and stay overnight.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh City- Phu Quoc Island

You're leaving Ho Chi Minh City today and headed for the island of Phu Quoc. Enjoy the day at your beach resort and relax. Stay overnight on Phu Quoc.

Day 11

Phu Quoc Beach Day

After breakfast, you are free today to spend the whole day on the beach or at the pool. Alternatively, you can go snorkeling or explore the island. Live the island life to the fullest, as you’ll stay another night on Phu Quoc.

Day 12

Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh Departure

Today you will be taken to the airport after breakfast to begin your journey home.
