Arrival in Bangkok
Welcome to Bangkok, the city of luminous temples and palaces. Upon your arrival, our local driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Relax and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. You spend your first night in Bangkok.
Bangkok City Tour
Today you will discover Bangkok city with your local guide. First stop is Wat Pho, a Buddhist temple known for its giant reclining Buddha statue and considered the first public university of Thailand. Next you will visit the Grand Palace and its Wat Phra Kaew, which is commonly known as the Temple of Emerald Buddha and considered the mostly sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. Then we continue to the lively Bang Rak district to explore the abundant food scene here by sampling some Thai specialties in the area. After the tour, spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight in Bangkok.

Today you are free to enjoy Bangkok however you wish. You can visit the bustling hustling Khao San Road, check out the city's huge variety of shopping options, get lost in the street food scene, and then relax with a Thai massage. You spend the night in Bangkok.

Bangkok - Fly to Luang Prabang
Today you are leaving the bustling Bangkok behind and flying to the peaceful town Luang Prabang in Laos. Upon arrival, our local driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure and spend the night in Luang Prabang.

Almsgiving & Luang Prabang City Tour
Today you have an option to start your day with participating the almsgiving ritual in the very early morning. After the ceremony, you return to your hotel to have breakfast before going on a city tour. Your local guide will take you to visit the National Museum, which used to be the last royal palace of the Laotian monarchy. Then continue to visit some of Luang Prabang's oldest temple - Wat Visoun and Wat Aham. Finally, we take you to Mount Phousi, the highest hill in Luang Prabang standing at 300 feet above sea level. From the summit, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view across the city and its many temples, and over the surrounding landscape to the mountains in the distance. You will spend the night in Luang Prabang.

Elephant Experience - Chateau Orientale Resort
In the morning, you will be heading to Chateau Orientale, a beautiful oriental resort by the Nam Khan river. Not only a perfect sanctuary to enjoy the peaceful countryside of Luang Prabang, Chateau Orientale also offers intimate and ethical elephant experience at their own elephant shelter, where you will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with these majestic but so gentle mammals. Upon arrival, enjoy some tea or coffee while getting an introduction on elephant facts, their behaviors, and how you should behave around them. Then head down to the Nam Khan river bank to meet with the elephants, bathe and play with them. After lunch at the resort, you will trek down a path through the jungle with your new elephant friends. Afterwards, return to the resort for dinner and stay overnight.

Elephant Experience - Kayaking - Luang Prabang
After breakfast, pick up your elephant from his sleeping area and brush him to complete his morning bath. Then you will kayak downstream to discover one of the most beautiful parts of the Nam Khan River. Back to Chateau Orientale resort for a delicious lunch before returning to Luang Prabang center. You will spend the night in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall
Today you will visit the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall, which is located about 45 minutes drive from Luang Prabang. On the way, you will make a stop at an ethnic minority village to get a glimpse of the local life and learn about their culture. After arriving at Kuang Si park, do a short hike through the forest and you will be rewarded with the marvelous sight of the Kuang Si waterfall splashing down into a series of cascading turquoise natural pools, where you can relax, go for a walk or take swim. After cooling down at the falls, we continue on to visit the moon bear rescue center nearby. After lunch, we will make our way back to Luang Prabang with a stop at a colorful Butterfly Park and another at a buffalo dairy farm. Back to Luang Prabang at the end of the day and spend the night here.

Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Whiskey Village
Today you are take a boat trip on the Mekong River to visit Pak Ou Caves. On the way, we will visit several riverside villages including the whiskey village Ban Xang Hai, where you can learn how local rice wine is made. Continue to Pak Ou Caves, which are set in a dramatic limestone cliff at the point where the Mekong joins the Nam Ou River and house over 4,000 Buddha statues of all sizes. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel in Luang Prabang and spend the night here.
